New Beginnings

The idea was to have the animations show flowers growing and blooming, with the meaning of each flower appearing next to it once it blossoms.

Screenshots of each frame of the Daffodil animation sketch

This was my first time trying hand-drawn animation. I used an app called FlipaClip and drew the animations frame by frame.

Animation

The circuit was built using an Arduino Nano connected to four Light Sensors (LDR).

Majesty

This image shows my TouchDesigner environment for the project. I used a Firmata component to connect the Arduino to the program without writing custom code. It was my first time exploring the software in depth, and it took several experiments to get it to work as intented.

The goal for this project was to learn new skills and explore meidums

Physical Installation

The physical components of the project were laser-cut from MDF, including the oval box and the flowers, and then were painted and glued together.
